How to use the Pathfinder Tool to make a new shape
The Pathfinder tool can be used to combine and create new shapes.
Step 1
To begin, place 2 shapes on the page overlapping each other. Ensure that the pathfinder window is open (can be found in the Window tab).
Step 2
Click the Minus Front option, this will cut the front shape out of the back shape.
